Serra de Água

Serra de Água is a parish in the district of Ribeira Brava in the Madeira Islands. The population in 2001 is 1,317, its density is 53.3/km² and the area is 24.7 km². The main industry is agriculture. It is connected north of the road linking Calheta and Funchal

 by a road linking Ribeira Brava and São Vicente. The mountains dominate the parish and the valley of Ribeira Brava in which begins is situated in the middle. Mountaintops lies to the east and west. Steep cliffs that are covered with forests and rocks are in the central part. Streams dominate the mountains. Ribeira Brava has reservoirs for drinking water and hydro. Forests covers the west-central , the southwestern and the eastcentral parts of the parish. Barren lands covers the rest of Serra de Água. A few farmlands are within Serra de Água.

 is to the south. The mountains are to the north. The parish of Ponta do Sol borders to its west. Tabua is in a valley setting with a stream running just west of Tábua. The stream flows with several streams from the mountaintop that is like a crater rim of a volcano. A smaller stream almost forms a parish boundary with Ribeira Brava. The municipality of Ponta do Sol is bounded to the west. Mountain and unused roads leads to the mountains.
