He was the head of the All American Tae Kwon Do/ Karate/ Kung Fu Tournament. This tournament was held for many years at Madison Square Garden

. He is the recipient of the Hall of Fame (Man of the Year) by Karate magazine. He is also the author of a number of books including Korean Karate: Free Fighting Techniques. He is a member of the US Tae Kwon Do Grand Master Association.
