Classes.
The club has a strong cruiser group.

Heritage wooden boats sailed in the club include Glens, Water Wags and IDRA 14s. The Water Wags are the oldest One-Design dinghy class in the world. The Water Wag Club was founded in 1887. The boats are open clinker built dinghies 14'-3" long, and they race on Wednesday evenings, from April until September both inside and outside of Dun laoghaire Harbour. The races are organised by The Water Wag Club with the support of rescue services provided by Dublin Bay Sailing Club. In 2010 Water Wag races have enjoyed between 16 and 20 boats competing each week. The boats are easy to sail but take some practice for the crew to control the traditional flat spinnaker on a long spinnaker pole.

Each season the club organises a number of National and International Sailing events.
