2009 Election

Brink has normally run unopposed in his district. During the Democratic Primary for Governor, Brink had expressed an interest for a challenger. On April 30, 2009, Marine Corps veteran and former Congressional staff member Aaron Ringel announced his candidacy as a Republican to run against Bob Brink. Brink eventually won by a 62.31% to 37.57% margin.
