) was a Republican member of the U.S. House of Representatives from 1975 to 1993. His district encompassed portions of Montgomery

. He served in the Army from 1951 to 1953. He was widowed after 35 years of marriage to Nancy Lockwood Schulze. They had four children. Schulze was re-married to Nancy Senechal Waltermire, widow of Secretary of State, Jim Waltermire, of Montana. Prior to serving in Congress, he owned businesses, and served in the Pennsylvania House from 1971 through 1974.

Schulze served as Chairman of the National Prayer Breakfast, and has been a member of the House of Representatives weekly prayer breakfast for 30+ years. He is a life long member of the Presbyterian Church.
