Clark High School has been nicknamed "The Prison" and "The Fallout Shelter" by other schools because it was built in the late 70's, during the movement for energy efficiency, and therefore has a lack of windows in the main building. This contributed to a depressing atmosphere.

The High School has recently added a new wing to the building, which was much needed due to overcrowding in the old building, as well as a new band hall. The new building houses science, art, and foreign language classes. It also boasts new listening labs in some of the foreign language rooms.

Clark High School maintains a population of over 1,300. The school's current principal is Janis Williams.
