 in India in 1920's. He was a magician and performed magic shows in India.He brought the puppets from England and then slowly started performing Ventriloquism.

Performing Magic

Padhye started performing Magic shows in India.He use to perform them in small functions.The entertainment industry was not so much developed during that time.However he created a niche for himself when he started combining magic and puppetry.He brought the puppets from England and started performing his shows.He started learning Ventriloquism from a book which he ordered from U.S.A.He slowly started incorporating Ventriloquism in his Magic shows.This excited the viewers as they had never seen a lively ventriloquial puppet talk.

Puppets in films

Once the art of ventriloquism gained popularity, he also received offers from films.His puppets were featured in one Hindi Film called "Akeli Mat Jaiyo".The film featured his famous puppet "Ardhavatrao" along with actor Rajendra Kumar

. The puppet was operated by Padhye himself.The music of the film was composed by Madan Mohan
