Jones got Fernandez and Whatley to turn on Valiant by paying them money, but still could not win the war.

Jones adopted a more military-like outfit near the end of his Army's existence and even had his head shaved by Valiant in this feud. The feud ended in late 1986 when Jones disbanded his army to focus on his new tag team of Rick Rude
