The Parque de los Próceres is a park in Mayagüez, Puerto Rico

In 1977 the mayor of Mayagüez, Don Bejamín Cole obtained a donation from the Economic Development Administration
of the United States Department of Commerce
for the construction of the "Parque de los Próceres Puertorriqueños". The park is located in the banks of the Yagüez River
between the 108 and 65 roads. The name means Spanish for "Puertorican Notables Park" or "Puertorican Patriots Park". It across the street of the Palacio de Recreacion y Deportes
.
In its gardens there are commemorative plaques of historical figures. There are many walking and bike riding paths inside the park. Also the park includes a number of ornate gazebos and a number of small decorative ponds. The park is considered the lung of the city of Mayagüez.
