Biography

Sreemathy was born on May 4, 1949 as the daughter of Kelappa Nambiar and P. K. Meenakshi Amma. She was a teacher by profession and hence carries the Teacher surname with her. She has been active in social life for the past 30 years.

She has in the Kannur District council standing committee chairperson for some time before she became the Kannur district Panchayat President from 1995 to 1997. Now she is All India Democratic Women's Association
