Post Cereals
Post Foods, LLC, also known as Post Cereals is a food company that was founded by C.W. Post in 1895 with the first Postum, a "cereal beverage," developed by Post in Battle Creek, Michigan. , which consisted of Oreo flavored O's with white sprinkles.

A variation of Oreo O's called Extreme Creme Taste Oreo O's contained Oreo filling flavored marshmallows. .

The cereal was launched in 1998 and discontinued in 2007.

Discontinuation

According to an email from consumer relations, the product was discontinued in 2007. However, it is still available in some countries, such as South Korea. Oreo O's was discontinued after the merger of Post Cereals and Ralcorp Holdings into Post Foods, LLC.

A purported reason the cereal was discontinued has to do with the separation of Kraft, the company that produces and sells Oreo Cookies, from Post, the company that produced Oreo O's cereal, which occurred in 2007-2008. As part of the separation, Kraft sold the rights to the Oreo O's recipe to Post, however Kraft retained ownership of the Oreo trademark, leaving no single company with the recipe for the cereal and the rights to sell a product under the Oreo trademark.

International Availability

While not available for purchase in the United States, Oreo O's are still produced and readily available in South Korea.
