Operation Neretva '93 was a Army of the Republic of Bosnia and Herzegovina
(ARBiH) operation against the Croatian Defence Council
(HVO) and Croatian Army in September 1993 and was launched in order to end the siege
of the Bosniak part of Mostar
surrounded by Croat forces and severely destroyed, and to recapture areas of Herzegovina, which were included in self-proclaimed Croatian Republic of Herzeg-Bosnia
. The operation was stopped by ARBiH authorities after it received the information about the incidents against civilians and POWs.

ARBiH commander Sefer Halilović
