-produced tracks and was marketed as an album by N.W.A. It includes previously released tracks by N.W.A, Eazy-E
, the Fila Fresh Crew
, and Rappinstine. The cover photo is the same as N.W.A's "Panic Zone" single and features people who do not appear on the record. The album peaked at #39 on Billboard
magazine's Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums

On the album cover, their group name has a period at the end, while in later albums, it does not.
N.W.A. and the Posse was re-released in 1989 by Ruthless Records, substituting another N.W.A song for the one by Rappinstine. The album was certified gold
by the RIAA
in 1994.
Note: The 1989 re-release replaced "Scream" with N.W.A's "A Bitch Iz a Bitch". The mentioned N.W.A track was already released as a b-side on their 1989 single "Express Yourself
