Texas
Texas is the second largest U.S. state by both area and population, and the largest state by area in the contiguous United States. The name, based on the Caddo word "Tejas" meaning "friends" or "allies", was applied by the Spanish to the Caddo themselves and to the region of their settlement in...

. The park, which opened in 2010, was developed by Gordon Hartman, a former real estate developer from San Antonio. He said that his daughter Morgan, who has a severe cognitive delay, inspired the creation of the park.

The park has a carousel, an 8 acres (3.2 ha) lake, off-road vehicles, a miniature train decorated to appear like it is from the 1930s, a sand circle play area, swings, and "playscapes."

Mission

To provide a safe, clean beautiful environment free of economic barriers for special needs individuals of all ages.

Vision

The vision at Morgan’s Wonderland is to establish a special place where smiles and laughter make wonderful memories with family members caregivers and friends. Where the common element of play creates an atmosphere of inclusion for those with and without disabilities so everyone can gain a greater understanding of one another.

RFID technology

Morgan's Wonderland suggests that all guests pre-register and make a reservation online or by phone before arriving at the park, thus allowing easy access to the visitors’ information in our database. As guests arrive they are assigned special wristbands which identify their family or group. These wristbands help to provide state of the art security through RFID (Radio Frequency Identification) technology. Several location station monitors are located in key areas throughout the park, so if a family or group member becomes separated any other member of their group can see where they are by simply scanning his or her own bracelet. These wristbands not only provide comfort and security against a child getting lost, but also guard against the possibility of either a child leaving with a stranger, or leaving the park alone. A special entry and exit procedure ensures a safe and worry-free experience at the park..
