RTÉ Radio 1 is the principal radio channel of Irish public-service broadcaster Raidió Teilifís Éireann and is the direct descendant of Dublin radio station 2RN, which began broadcasting on a regular basis on 1 January 1926...

 from 1970 until 2005. It was one of radio's longest running programmes. Presented by Ciarán Mac Mathúna, the programme ended when he retired in 2005. The last programme aired on 27 November 2005, beginning at 8.10 am. Mac Mathúna died just over four years later.

The content of the programme included instrumental music, songs both in English and Irish, and conversation between Mac Mathúna and various guests.
