Michael T. Lynch is an internationally known American

and high-end special interest automobiles.
Lynch became known in the 1970s for his work on the history of Ferrari
racecars. One of his earliest peer honors came when he won the Ferrari Club of America's Warren Fitzgerald "Article of the Year" Award for a piece published in Prancing Horse. While he remains a Contributing Editor to Cavallino, The Journal of Ferrari History and a regular contributor to Forza, another Ferrari-specific publication, his field of knowledge encompasses the entire of narrative of motor racing as well as high performance marques throughout history. In 1998, he co-authored the book, American Sports Car Racing in the 1950s, with William Edgar and Ron Parravano, which is the definitive work on the era. The book, with a Forward written by car designer, Carroll Shelby
, has won numerous awards including the Dean Batchelor Award from the Motor Press Guild, a professional organization of automotive writers, photographers, artists, and broadcasters. The book also received a History/Cultural Book award at the International Automotive Media Conference in Las Vegas. Lynch's periodical work has received recognition including the Society of Automotive Historians' James Valentine Award for Excellence in Historical Research.
