Luis Patricio Núñez Blanco (born 20 January 1980 in La Legua, Santiago
) is a Chilean footballer, currently playing as a striker for Magallanes
of the Chilean Primera B
. He also played for the Chile national football team

in 1990. His first category at Católica's youth ranks was the U-11 level. In the 1999 season, he was loaned to the American club Jacksonville Cyclones
in a one season deal. Subsequently, once he was loaned, now to Magallanes
for a season long deal. However in 2004, he return to Universidad Católica.
During the winter of 2004, he was loaned to Unión San Felipe
. With this team, Núñez made a notable season with this club, being one of key players in this team. During the stay of the player in San Felipe, on 22 August 2005, he was discriminated by the referee Braulio Arenas as "Traficante de la Legua" (The drug dealer of La Legua) during a match against Rangers.
Because the good season of Núñez in San Felipe, the player return to Universidad Católica

In the next season, Núñez made his best season in his career. During the Torneo Apertura 2007, he was one of the top-scorer of the tournament with 11 goals in 18 matches. Because of his good performance, he was called by the coach Nelson Acosta
