Lorenz Nikolai Achté was a Finnish opera singer, composer, bandleader and music teacher. He was a member of the Finnish opera theater department's first artists, together with his wife Emmy Achten. He established a cantor-organist school, Helsinki Church Music School, in Helsinki in 1882.
