Plot

) is captured, accused of being in the CIA and sentenced to 15 years in prison. Labeled a Political, he is abused and tortured for years and then mysteriously released. Fearful for his life and re-imprisonment he plans a second escape with a group of friends. Armed with heroic passion, they flee the island on a homemade raft. Their goal to reach the United States. Instead they find terror at sea and their quest for freedom becomes a quest for survival. This film is inspired on true events.

Between 1980 and 2000, it is estimated that more than 100,000 Cubans have lost their lives in the Florida Straits in their quest for freedom.
