Lene Kaaberbøl is a Danish writer of fantasy novels living in Copenhagen, Denmark.

Writing

Lene Kaaberbøl tends to write fantasy books set in the medieval period. She teaches English and drama when she is not writing new stories or translating her own books into English.

One of her best-known books is about Katriona Teresadatter, a girl who joins the "Bredinari", and tries to become a silver knight.
Her books often include the use of magic, which can be seen in the nine books that she has written in the W.I.T.C.H universe.

The Shamer's Daughter

Dina lives in a small village with her mother, brother and younger sister. Dina's mother is a Shamer. Someone with the ability to remind people of everything they have to be ashamed of. Dina has inherited this gift from her mother. Because of this other people find it difficult to look her in the eye. Dina's mother is called into the city to handle a bloody murder of The king, his daughter-in-law and her son. All the evidence points to the king's younger son Nicodemus.
