 predominantly working in Kannada cinema. He has won several prestigious awards and is popularly called as Love Poet for his inspiring lyrics on romance theme. He is considered one of the leading lyricists and musicians of Kannada cinema.

Personal life

Kalyan was born on 1 January 1975 in Karnataka

 state of India. Kalyan is often been noted as one of the good Samaritan for his noble social works that he does apart from his professional duties. He has so far adopted two children at an orphanage for the last 10 years and providing them their educational facilities up to their end of schooling.

Career

Kalyan first began his career as a lyricist for Kannada movies. In the year 1997, Kalyan's lyrics was much appreciated and awarded for the film Amruthavarshini

. All the songs of this soundtrack went on to become chartbusters and the lyrics were considered to be top class. Since then, Kalyan is regarded as one of the most significant of the younger lyricists in Kannada today. He has written lyrics for over 1000 songs and won many prestigious awards.
