José Alfredo Castillo Parada, nicknamed "El Pícaro" (born February 9, 1983 in Santa Cruz de la Sierra
) is a Bolivian football striker
who is currently playing for Bolívar
in the Liga de Fútbol Profesional Boliviano
on a loan from Mexican club Estudiantes Tecos.
acquired his rights in 2000. The year 2001 proved to be the best season of his career, as he helped the club win a championship by scoring a total of 42 goals with only 18 years of age.
He was noticed by Estudiantes Tecos and he signed for the Mexican club in the summer of 2002. During the first season at Tecos, Castillo justified his transfer scoring several goals along the competition, but his good form began to drop costing him a place in the starting line-up. Castillo remained with Tecos until May 2004, when he was loaned out. During the following years, he had brief spells with several clubs around South America including Rosario Central
