 before being pinned down by Keane. Keane also dies shortly afterwards when he receives the death penalty for killing a Latino inmate during a fight that was arranged by Ryan O'Reily. After this happens the prison is locked down but the Black inmates are still ready for war. Ryan O'Reily then convinces Simon Adebisi

that D'Angelo was the one who set up Keane, partly because he also has a side battle with him. The Homeboys look to eliminate D'Angelo, a task that they accomplish in a kitchen "accident". Joey is seen recuperating in the infirmary, resulting in his survival of the attack, but is neither seen nor mentioned on any subsequent episode.
