Joe Cool's Dodgem School is a miniature version of a dodgem ride. It is located at Kings Island
theme park in Kings Mills, Ohio. It is in the kid's area of the park which is called Planet Snoopy
. It was manufactured by Jurgen Scmidt, Rivervaze, NJ.
Joe Cool's Dodgem School opened in the year 1976 as Flintstone's Boulder Bumpers to fit the theme of the children's area which at the time was The Happy Land of Hanna-Barbera
. In 2006, came the complete makeover of The Happy Land of Hanna-Barbera
, with 3 new rides and attractions. The area then became known as Nickelodeon Universe. This makeover included complete rethemeing of all the Hanna-Barbera rides to fit the Nickelodeon theme. That is when the ride became known as Jimmy Neutron's Atom Smasher. Although Cedar Fair Entertainment Company had the rights to continue using the Nickelodeon themes through 2016 following its purchase of the park in 2006, it was decided to remove all remaining Hanna-Barbera and Nickelodeon themes from the kids area in time for the start of the 2010 season. So in
2010, the area went through a another rethemeing to fit with other
Cedar Fair's kid's areas. Nickelodeon
Universe then became known as Planet Snoopy
. To fit with the rethemeing, Jimmy
Neutron's Atom Smasher became Joe Cool's Dodgem School.

Layout
Joe Cool's Dodgem School is basically a miniature bumper car ride. This small version was intended for small guests who are not tall enough to drive one of the regular bumper cars at the ride called Dodgem. Each car has room for one guest who can drive and must be less than 54" tall. The other rider may ride with the driver. The riders will attempt to drive around the roofed area without being hit by the other 19 riders.
