James Leland Quinn was a Democratic

He was employed as a newspaper reporter from 1891 to 1896, and became owner and publisher of the Braddock Journal in 1896. He was a member of the Pennsylvania State House of Representatives from 1933 to 1935.

Congresses, but was an unsuccessful candidate for reelection in 1938. He resumed the newspaper publishing business. He died in Braddock, Pennsylvania
