The Hällevik arboretum is situated in the northern part of the Stenshuvud National park (1). It contains matured trees and shrubs from other countries (Europe, USA, Asia) (2) . At the turn of the century the official district gardener G. Ekenstem bought the farm of Hällevik. Along with traditional farming, he ran a plant nursery and was responsible for the establishment of gardens and parks. Surpluses of plants and samplings have been planted at Hällevik between 1910 and 1970. The climate is mild as protected from the westerly winds.
