Corporate changes since 1900

  • 1978 – Otisfield left Cumberland County and switched to Oxford County

  • 1992 – New town of Long Island formed from Portland

  • 1998 – New town of Frye Island formed from Standish

  • 2007 – New town of Chebeague Island formed from Cumberland (effective July 1)
