GSAÉD operates a business on campus, the Café Nostalgica, which has been featured in the CheapEats Ottawa restaurant guide. It is also the organizer of an annual interdisciplinary conference, having invited over the years speakers such as Samantha Nutt, David Suzuki and Ralph Nader, whose keynote lectures attracted attention from the local media and community.
