- Shishin Daigakuya is a genius strategist with wide knowledge in history, Confucian classics, war tactics, astronomy and medicine. He is more serious and monotonous in the anime, since in the manga, he was a womanizer that usually had a funny attitude but quickly became serious when the moment required it. At first, he was in love with Shimon, but after seeing her relationship with Rai, he decided to let her be. However, he soon found a new resolve with Kakyoku, Geni's former lover. He later becomes Rai's closest friend and confidant.
