 Recommendation G.987 is a family of recommendations that defines 10 gigabit passive optical networks (XG-PON) for telecommunications access networks. It comprises four recommendations:
  • G.987, 10-Gigabit-capable passive optical network (XG-PON) systems: Definitions, Abbreviations, and Acronyms, 2010.
  • G.987.1, XG-PON: General requirements, 2010.
  • G.987.2, XG-PON: Physical media dependent (PMD) layer specification, 2010.
  • G.987.3, XG-PON: Transmission convergence (TC) specifications, 2010.
