He served as a Municipal Legislator in Ponce in the 2004-2008 elections.

Legacy

In 1966 he was selected to the Puertorican Basketball Hall of fame and in 1993 he was included in the Ciales Sports Hall of Fame.

During the 1990s the "Centro Recreativo y Cultural Enrique Vicéns" was established by the municipal government being mayor of Ponce Rafael Cordero Santiago
