. Edith has worked for hispanic television networks, such as, Televisa, Telemundo, and TV Azteca. It has been Televisa with whom Edith has played some of the most important roles Mexican telenovelas. In 2010 Gonzalez decided to switch TV networks, therefore she became the new face of TV Azteca, her first telenovela is "Cielo Rojo". Her first appearance in TV Azteca was in the well-known reality TV show La Academia.

In 2010, González married Lorenzo Lazo Margáin.
