Athletics

Erwin High School fields teams in Football, Volleyball, Cross Country, Cheerleading, Basketball, Wrestling, Baseball, Softball, Track, Tennis, Golf and Soccer. The Eagles' wrestling team won Alabama High School Athletic Association state championships in 1992 and 1999 http://www.ahsaa.com/Sports/Wrestling/History/WrestlingPastStateChampions/tabid/776/Default.aspx. The varsity football team won area championships in the AHSAA playoffs in 1980, 1988, 1989, 1995, 1996 and 1997. The Girls Basketball team won the 2010-2011 State Basketball Championship.
