Dávid Kovács is a Hungarian politician, former founding member of the Movement for a Better Hungary
. He served as chairman of the party since the beginnings until 2006. During his presidency the Jobbik entered into a coalition with the Hungarian Justice and Life Party

. After the elections he was followed by Gábor Vona
, Kovács became one of the deputy chairmen of the Jobbik.
He did not support the establishment of the Magyar Gárda
, which was why he left the party along with two significant founding members on 10 March 2008.
