y La Razón (Petorca). In this last newspaper he worked since he fixed his residence in the Valley of the Ligua in 1980. After the death of Cristián Huneeus in 1985, her daughter Daniela Huneeus (anthropologist) altogether with Manuel Vicuña (investigator of the Centro Barros Arana) published a book of articles of press written hy Huneeus between 1969 and 1985.

The political context of 60’ and 70’ demanded him to solve the crossroads with conviction and militancy. Before this, Huneeus ended up incarnating the neutrality and the uprooting, taking refuge between four walls: the field (that accompanied it from its childhood, he found in Cabildo Property Santo Tomás, and until the death); the literature ("the dilemma of the contemporary art is the dilemma of the point of view"); the academy (director of Humanistic Department of the University of Chile-DEH) and England (where he lived six years preparing his posgraduate in the Corpus Christi College on Cambridge and knew Tony Gould), at its moment of splendor; Nicanor Parra would say to him in one of its artefactos: "this boy is a palace in the middle of a callampa (poor quarter)"). Until today, it seemed of the destiny that Huneeus never could leave those four walls.
