1970 - Cohn & Wolfe is founded by Bob Cohn and Norman Wolfe in Atlanta, Georgia.

1979 - The Coca-Cola Company awards Cohn & Wolfe its Olympic public relations activities for the 1980 Winter Games in Lake Placid, sparking Cohn & Wolfe’s long and successful history with Olympic sponsorships.

1984 - Cohn & Wolfe is acquired by Young & Rubicam

1989 - Cohn & Wolfe expands its global operations with new offices in London and Toronto.

1995 - Cohn & Wolfe opens three new offices in Los Angeles, Montreal and Milan.

1997 - Cohn & Wolfe opens up the Frankfurt office (November).

2000 - The Y&R family of companies is acquired by the even larger powerhouse of WPP Group

2001 - Cohn & Wolfe acquires Springbok Technologies, Texas’s largest independent public relations firm, specializing in technology PR (May). Also, Cohn & Wolfe opens the Geneva office (January).

2003 - Cohn & Wolfe achieves #1 ranking for creativity, strategy and overall quality in 2002 Thomas L. Harris/Impulse Research Survey, the largest and most comprehensive survey in the field of public relations.

2006 - Cohn & Wolfe Calgary opens.

2007 - Cohn & Wolfe launches its global practice for companies with environmental business strategies that require effective communicate programs. Also, C&W Consultancy is created to bring together the agency’s top international talent and provide strategic communications advice and support.

2008 - Cohn & Wolfe merges with GCI Group to form a top ten global PR agency. Cohn & Wolfe also acquires majority stake in Axicom, a premier Pan-European technology PR agency.

2009 - Cohn & Wolfe opens in Morocco affiliated with "Agence RP", PR Agency.

Cohn & Wolfe is a member of the WPP Group PLC family of media companies.
