History
Barrio Mexico was one of the first clubs in Costa Rica to form. It was founded with the name of Nicolas Marin, it went on to win two titles in the second division. Later they changed their name to San Jose Municipal, winning another title. Finally they changed their name to Asociación Deportiva Association Mexico. This club was the first in the history of Costa Rican football where fans sang songs in the stadium, making it one of the great glories of yesteryear josefinas.
