, but it has a different melody and a slightly different vocabulary. Bönnsch is described as having a more singsong sound than Kölsch. An obvious phonologic distinction between the two is that Kölsch contrasting to Standard German uses ʃ in most places where German has ç, while Bönnsch is using ç in most places where German has ʃ.
