Bjørn "Bummen" Johansen (born September 7, 1969) is a former Norwegian
footballer
, who played midfielder
for Tromsø IL for most of his career. Johansen got his debut in 1987, and played for Tromsø I.L. until 1992. He moved to Viking F.K.
in 1993, and stayed there for two seasons. In 1995, Johansen was back at Tromsø I.L., and stayed with the club until 1999. Johansen enjoyed two good seasons with Swedish
team Helsingborgs IF
, before he again returned to Tromsø IL to help the club return to the Norwegian Premier League
in 2002.
Johansen was and still is a favorite among many Tromsø IL fans. With the exception of his 4 seasons away from the club, he played in almost every match Tromsø IL played between 1989 and 2005. This made Bjørn Johansen the player with the most matches for Tromsø I.L. ever. Johansen also participated in all of Tromsø IL's four European Cup campaigns.
Johansen played international matches for various age-based Norwegian national teams, but he was never given the chance to play for the Senior Norwegian national team
. Many people, especially Tromsø IL fans, consider him among the best Norwegian footballers never to have received this honor.
Following Johansen's retirement in 2005, he has worked as a sports commentator for the Norwegian TV 2
