Career

Binärpilot addresses the issue of music piracy in a statement published in a thread on his forum. Mainstream music has become, he says, a collection of "soulless, bland and branded acts spewing their sixth-grade level lyrics through every major media outlet". In his eyes, the record companies will do anything to make more money, regardless of who they hurt. He addresses the argument that artists lose money because of piracy in this statement: "It's not hurting the artists, it's hurting the industry behind the artists. And that is, in my opinion, the beauty of it; Contrary to what they want you to believe, piracy is (if anything) saving music, because it's bringing a corrupt and exploitative machine down to its knees." Binärpilot has been praised by pirates and opponents of the music industry because of his staunchly anti-corporate stance.
