ASYOU or Azerbaijan Student Youth Organizations' Union, known as Azərbaycan Tələbə Gənclər Təşkilatları İttifaqı (ATGTİ) in Azerbaijani language
is one of Azerbaijan
's largest cross-faculty student organisations.
ASYOU is a non-governmental, non-profit organization founded in November, 2009 and registered in March, 2010. As a non-profit organization ASYOU’s main activity strategy is based on grants awarded by different local and international donors. Since the time of the establishment ASYOU successfully co-operated with The Ministry of Youth and Sport, The Council of State Support to Non-Governmental Organizations under the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Council of Europe (European Youth Foundation) etc.
The aim of founding the ASYOU is to represent and protect students’ interests in Azerbaijan, to improve the level of education at higher schools and to ensure students’ active participation in social, political, cultural, economic spheres of the country and to promote solution of society’s problems and improve the well - being of vulnerable population.
ASYOU is the biggest student organization in the Republic of Azerbaijan and in South Caucasus
and it comprises 39 public and private Higher Schools’ Student Youth Organizations. ASYOU functions on local, national and international levels.
ASYOU regularly organizes local training courses, seminars, conferences, thematic parties, national and international Summer Camps (so called: Summer Universities), youth exchanges and does other kinds of activities not prohibited by legislation.
Liaison Council is legislative body of the Union and comprises 39 chairpersons and 20 active members of Student Youth Organizations (SYOs). Liaison Council elects the Board and deputies upon the nomination of the Chairperson of ASYOU. Board comprises 19 members. The Chairperson and the deputies of the Union are the Chairperson and deputies of the Board as well. Together with the Liaison Council the Board is a legislative body too.Supervision Commission consists of 5 members. They are elected among the members of Liaison Council. The commission supervises the work of Union’s groups and listens to their reports. The Chairperson of Commission governs the Supervision Commission.
The Chairperson of ASYOU manages the Executive Body and the Board which is legislative body of the organization. Executive Bodies of the Union are Departments. Executive Director supervises the activities of the Executive Departments and Directors manage their departments according to their profiles.
Department of International Relations establishes relations with International agencies, foreign student organizations and realizes international events. Public Relations Department informs the society about the events and projects which are held by the Union. Projects Department provides the organization with projects in various directions and is responsible for their implementation. At the same time the Projects Department co-ordinates the Working Groups (WGs) and supplies the organization with the fund-raising activity.
Human Resources Department conducts membership issues of the SYOs, registration issues of the Staff of Legislative and Executive Bodies, and manages the human recourses of ASYOU. Department of Science and Education realizes Olympiads, educational trainings on different issues, round tables etc. The Department prepares and implements scientific programs and events as well. Department of Culture and Mass events events provides the organization with preparation of cultural and art activities and organize mass events. Information Technologies Department manages the Union’s web-site, and organizes IT programs. Department of Sport and Health promotes healthy lifestyle among students and organizes different sport competitions. Accounting Department realizes the allocation of finance means for events and paying of salaries to the employees. There are working groups with various profiles in ASYOU. Each working group organizes different events. The activity of Working Groups is regulated by the charter of ASYOU and the statues of Working Groups.

ASYOU’s supreme body is Congress.
