It is a school for pupils and students of all abilities from the ages of 11 to 19 and has approximately 850 pupils. The school is situated on a parkland site on the outskirts of Canterbury.

Although the school celebrated its 50th anniversary in the 2007-08 academic year, it has only seen three headmasters in that time.

The school's pupils are divided into six different houses. These six are Matthew, Mark, Luke, John

The Archbishop's School is situated on St Stephens's Hill, approximately a mile North-West of the city centre. Mr M. Liddicoat is currently the Headteacher, but before him it was Mr A. The Friends of Archbishop's

The Friends of Archbishop's is a group that hold fund raising activities and days to help raise money for school supplies. So far, with the money raised, The Archbishop's school has: Two brand new mini-buses, a library computer suite and six computer projectors - at a cost of over £10,000.

Helping Pupils

The Archbishop's school is greatly known for its passion about helping disabled children, and kids who have had a difficult start in life. For 50 years they have catered to children with all abilities, ranging from 11 years of age to 19.

Some of the things The Archbishop's school does to make it easier for these children are as follows: Additional time in exams for those who need it, the use of computers for children with visual impairments, the provision of papers in alternative format and teaching assistants trained to act as scribes.
