On January 5, 2006, he pleaded "not guilty" to charges of sexual abuse, arson, kidnapping, burglary and robbery. He was convicted of all charges save arson on May 23, 2007.
  • During the run of the play, it was claimed in publicity material that Misha was Sedgwick's niece and this misidentification persisted in the media for more than a year. Edie's only living brother, Jonathan, disputed this claim. The New York Times published a notice of correction.
