. They are coached by Wendell Hudson
, the first African-American student-athlete ever to play a sport at Alabama (1969–1973). He was also an SEC Player of the Year during his time as a player for the Crimson Tide.
The Crimson Tide has appeared in 10 NCAA Women's Basketball Tournaments
