AB Svenska Järnvägsverkstädernas Aeroplanavdelning (Swedish Railroad Workshops' Air Plane Department, ASJA) was a company making aircraft in Linköping

. In 1932 ASJA bought Svenska Aero
from Carl Clemens Bücker.
During 1936 ASJA entered talks with Bofors
about creating a common company for design and manufacturing of aircraft. In January 1937 they agreed to share the stock between them 50-50 and on March 31, 1937 they formed AB Förenade Flygverkstäder (AFF).
The co-operation within AFF didn't work out so in March 1939 it was decided Svenska Aeroplan AB (SAAB) would be reformed and take over ASJA.
