He has worked as a meteorologist at FOX25 since 2004, although he was a freelance meteorologist for the station from 2000 to 2004. He also reports occasionally and fills in for the other meteorologists.
Burnett is a member of the American Meteorological Society
and has held the AMS Television Seal of Approval since 2005.
Burnett volunteers with the Massachusetts/New Hampshire Chapter of the Alzheimer's Association
where he has served as Honorary Chairperson for the annual 'Make the Link' Golf Tournament since 2006, and was named to Chapter's Advisory Committee in 2009.
