Quality of officials
Many of the games the Bulldogs have played this season have been tainted by the effects of horrible officiating. At least twice this season, the officials had to be escorted by police at the end of the game due to the fans' rowdiness caused by the bad calls and no-calls made.Examples:
- In the game against Xavier, Robinson had the ball when an official ran into him knocking him down and the ball out of his hands. The ball was recovered by Xavier.
- The foul called on Thompkins in the game against Xavier, when Thompkins was actually pushed by a Xavier player into another Xavier player.
- The clock official giving Vanderbilt a fresh 35 seconds on the shot clock after an airball. If the situation were handled correctly Vanderbilt would have committed a shot clock violation, but the officials decided to simply resume play from where the clock official incorrectly reset the shot clock.
- The officials failing to call out-of-bounds on Vanderbilt when a player had his feet on the sideline while reaching for a loose ball against an in-bounds Georgia player.
- The officials failing to call a traveling violation on Vanderbilt when a player holding the ball lying on the floor got up into a standing position.
