The Israeli defense forces used them until recently also. So, add the Mideast wars since 1946 to the list. I undestand some of the recent CMP carbines were from Israel. We also supplied weapons to various friendly So American countries during the Cold War so I suspect quite a few were used in the late 20th Century wars in Central America.

South Korea has 770,000 carbines and 87,000 Garands that they would like to send back to us, but because the weapons were lend-lease the State Department has to approve and Hilary/Obama won't do that. Gee, someone might use these antiques for nefarious purposes!--like home defense.
