The reason people still care about Hitler's life is because he had a significant impact on the world. Before the war, the term 'genocide' didn't exist, but was created after the Holocaust. I think that one point is reason enough.

Hitler represents power in its full state of corruption of a man and a regime over a country. The reason that we need to remember Hitler is that, when we see the government gaining too much power (at the hands of the ignorant masses like, yourself) we have to stop it in its tracks. Sort of like what's happening now in Congress and in the White House. We need to stop them.

It probably has to do with the fact that he and Stalin were responsible for more people being killed and so much destruction in so many countries. There is also the fact that he was able to turn such a cultured educated people into animals over such a short time.
