After reading the little evidence there is, I'm
wondering if there was ever a search with satellite
technology?
This occurred before the widespread use of computers
and sites such as GOOGLE EARTH. But there were weather
satellites and computers in use long before MICROSOFT, in
the weather bureau, specifically THE NATIONAL WEATHER
SERVICE in Suitland Maryland. When he was alive, my Dad
worked there as a career Meteorologist.
The trouble is that any maps back then would be
classified. If that info could be accessed, there might
be satellite photos of that very area somewhere.
Seems to me with so little to go on any needle in
a haystack like that could be helpful.
Since 1989 there have been great strides in forensics
including the mapping of the complete genome.
